You've just had your killer new brand created and it's ready to launch to the world. But what are you supposed to do with all of these different logo variations? When should you use your secondary logo instead of your primary logo? And what the heck is a submark?

Here's a quick explanation to get you up to speed...

Primary logo

This is your main logo - your ride or die, your numero uno. This logo should include your full business name, and be used as often as possible.

Top uses: Branded collateral, signage, desktop website header

Secondary logo

The name speaks for itself really - this is the partner in crime to your primary logo and is a slight (often vertical) variation that can be used when your main logo isn’t suitable.

Top uses: Invoices, branded collateral (where the primary won't work), mobile website header

Submark

This is an even more simplified version of your primary logo, and is essentially an icon that captures your brand. It’s perfect for using anywhere your logo needs to be sized to a small scale.

Top uses: Profile image on your socials, website footer, website favicon

Take a look at some examples of each!
